Skill Level: Intermediate Knitting

This beanie is worked in stranded colourwork as a spiral. A multiple of 8 stitches minus one moves the contrasting line of stitches to the left and a multiple of 8 sts plus one moves it to the right. It is knitted from the bottom edge up, with a K2, P2 rib band.
There are two style options: a longer slouchy beanie with a pompom or a shorter fitted beanie.

Finished Measurements:
Finished beanie circumference approx: 41 (44, 47, 50, 53) cm or 16¼ (17¼, 18½, 19¾, 20¾) ins
Slouchy beanie finished depth approx: 19 (20, 21, 22, 23) cm or 7½ (7¾, 8¼, 8¾, 9) ins
Fitted beanie finished depth approx: 17 (18, 18, 20, 20) cm or 6¾ (7, 7, 7¾, 7¾) ins


Choose a size that will stretch to fit your head size.
It is intended to be worn with approx 4-6cm or 1½-2¼ins negative ease.

100% Australian Superfine Merino
65g/2¼oz balls (130m/142yds)
