
Oberon Mitts - Zoom Workshop
Skill level : Adventurous Beginner, to join this workshop you will need to know how to knit in the round.
The Oberon Mitts are easy to make, with the adventurous knitters in mind. Using knit and purl stitches, you will create ribbing for the cuff, twisted stitches for the pattern and learn increasing and decreasing techniques to shape the thumb.
Tutor: Your tutor will be Shara, from Sharamade. She is an experienced knitter and will share with you all the tips and tricks for knitting the Oberon Mitts.
Materials required for this Workshop (please note these supplies are not included):
- 3.75mm needles, or size to obtain correct gauge.
You can use either double pointed needles, 9" (25cm) circular needles or magic loop method (80cm circular needle). Please note if using 9" (25cm) circular needles, you will also need a set of double pointed needles (3.75mm) to complete the thumb. - 110m DK/8 ply yarn. Sample made using Zealana Rimu DK in Ivory

Finished Size
16-22cm measured around palm. This is a very stretchy design and will accommodate a variety of sizes.
Gauge/Tension:
Oberon Pattern Repeat (16sts x 6 rows) = 5.5cm x 2cm. Or 2x2 ribbing= 26 sts x 32 rows per 10cm x 10cm.
